Inner Sunset

When Lizzy and Greg contacted Modern Craft they were looking to do a kitchen remodel of their 1920’s Marina style Edwardian home in the Inner Sunset. Their kitchen’s aesthetics had not been updated in decades and they wanted to achieve a more modern industrial look. The room’s layout was narrow and there was a lack of natural light which made it appear dark and smaller in size. To begin, John and his team opened up the walls to create an open kitchen and dining area. In addition, they installed solar operable skylights, which gave a brighter, more spacious feel. To achieve a more modern look, the Modern Craft team installed concrete tiles with a black and white patterned floor. The look was completed by installing dark blue kitchen cabinetry, modern appliances, walnut countertops and brass accents.
